Science Models of the Respiratory System

We have been learning about systems of the body in Science. Here are the models of the respiratory system we made. We learned that it is the diaphragm that helps us inhale and exhale, not our lungs.
 
 
By pulling on the bottom balloon (our "diaphragm"), the top balloon (the "lung") takes in oxygen and expands.

Writing stories...

This week we turned in our first stories! Students wrote non-fiction description stories about a favorite vacation or place. We worked on using lots of "sensory language," so our readers could really picture what was happening.
